My mom is here is Denver.

Last night after class hubby picked up my mom in the airport. Finally she is here to help us. Also, hubby's mom left this morning. Hopefully, my mom can help us with the kiddos and the cooking. Also, hubby is busy right now with his class and soon to go back to work next week. So, my mom can really be a big help to us. Have a good afternoon everyone. I have to go back to my duty.

Autumn is for Tailgating.

Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer

Ah... there is a chill in the air, a crunch of leaves underfoot, the smell of a bonfire in the wind... this can only mean one thing - football season has arrived! With football season brings tailgating for my favorite college team, the Penn State Panthers! Autumn is the perfect time of year for tailgating. With the weather changing to cooler, it makes a perfect setting for tailgating. After dialing up my alumni friends and family, packing up my truck, and setting my house alarm installed by New York adt Home Alarm, it is time to make the trek to one of the parking lots at Penn State University! Not only are good friends and families essential for a great time tailgating, so are the food and beverage provisions. I always pack necessary tailgating items such as: food (and lots of it), beverages (waters, sodas, and beer), games (corn hole and a football), chairs, tables, a grill, a radio, and a tent` (in case it rains). Socializing with tailgating is an important thing, too. It never ceases to amaze me how many of my old alumni friends that I have lost touch with during the years show up to some of the games. Touching base and catching up always brings a smile to my face. Yes, to many, autumn signifies Thanksgiving, and back to school. But, to me, it screams, "Are you ready for some football?!"

Cooking dinner.

I am thinking of baking salmon tonight and bakes some muffin too. I bought some ingredients to make maja blanca but I don't feel like cooking it today. Maybe next time. Also, I been craving to eat or cook "torta" cake just like how it was cooked or taste in my hometown but I have to see how to do it online. Anyway, got to go and start the fire before Maddie wakes up from her nap and hubby gets home his biking.

Baloon Festival.

Hubby had been wanting to go to the balloon festival in Colorado Springs over the weekend. He has four days off including the Labor day but unfortunately he wasn't able to. I can't go there because it seems far to me and everytime I rode in the car I have contraction because of all the bouncing of the road. Anyway, he was not happy about not seeing it especially after a nice afternoon shot of the balloon on TV. I told him maybe next time and then all of us can go.

Murder mystery over dinner.

Guest post written by Roger Singleton

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite writers and I just love mystery books overall. So when we were on vacation this year we decided to finally go on a murder mystery cruise. I had liked the idea of it for a while but we had never been able to fit it into our vacation schedule during years before that.

When we were there we started talking to some people at our tables during the actual dinner portion of the night. We got to talking and then once one of the actors started in on the dramatics, I was having trouble hearing all of the dialogue. I mentioned this to the lady beside me and she said that she went to miracle ear Tempe when she was having the same problems. That inspired me to look up hearing aid locations Miami on my smart phone then until one of the actors died.

The night was dramatic yet funny more than anything. It ends up that the actress who played the heiress was the murderer after all, who I didn't suspect at all!

Talking with my sister.

My sister got her laptop from my mom just recently. She also got the magic jack from my brother and so she was able to call me yesterday but her signal was bad. I couldn't hear her but she said she can hear me just fine. Well, I can't and it's hard to keep shouting. I usually get frustrated and so before everything turns bad we just hang up and will try again later. Maybe her connection is slow.
